of Large Birdhouse.
Most birdhouses are relatively small, primarily because a single nest does not require a great deal of space, at least for most common bird species. However, if one wants to provide shelter for more than one nest, buying a large birdhouse often makes a great deal of sense. Rather than have many smaller units spread around the yard, one can simply buy an avian apartment complex, of sorts.
Just like their smaller counterparts, a large birdhouse can be found in any number of designs. From simple multi-unit towers, to elaborately decorated and scaled-down palaces, there is virtually no end to the possibilities. However, it is not always easy to find these larger enclosures through local sources, and as such they often have to be ordered online.
The downside to purchasing a large birdhouse is that they can also be quite expensive. For this reason, many experienced woodworkers choose to create their own designs, as the cost of materials is almost always less than the cost of a finished product. There are also kits available, for those that are not familiar with basic woodworking techniques.
